Christian Audigier

Montpeyroux

The vineyards of Montpeyroux have been producing wine since Roman times. Its topography includes highlands, terraces and soil of clay and limestone. The dry climate and isolation has enabled an uninterrupted tradition of eco-friendly winegrowing. In recent decades luminaries like Sylvain Fadat of Domaine d’Aupilhac have brought critical acclaim to Montpeyroux, raising its profile yet higher.

Fashion designer Christian Audigier was born and raised in Avignon, about 75 miles west of Montpeyroux and in the heart of southern Rhone wine country. Audigier’s design work was influenced by the American tattoo artist Don Ed Hardy, himself a fine artist who studied tattoo art under Sailor Jerry and the Japanese masters. Together they launched the successful Ed Hardy line of fashion designs in 2004. It is now one of the hottest brands in the world.

Christian Audigier wines showcase the significant natural charms of Montpeyroux viticulture, exhibiting mouthfilling fresh fruit flavors. They are produced at the Cave de Montpeyroux from grapes grown by the Roquefeuil family which has been growing wine here since the 16th century.

Christian Audigier Syrah offers an elegant nose of truffles and spice. Low yields have resulted in terrific ripeness, deep, penetrating, and sweet tannins, and a lush, velvety texture.
